Over the past several months REEL TIME has been highlighting the winners of the 2009 SONscreen Film Festival VII that took place in Simi Valley, CA on April 16-18, 2009. What was your first reaction when you heard the news that you had won the category?
Oh sweet!
What was the inspiration behind your film?
2 Corinthians 9:7 "Every man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Acts 20:35 "'It is more blessed to give than to receive".
Why do you feel a festival like SONscreen is important to have?
It allows young Christian film makers an outlet to show off their creativity and passion as well as allows them to come into contact with industry professionals.
What new project are your working on and how can people reach you or see more of your work?
I'll be working on a documentary in the coming months on a community service project. The best way people can reach me is www.facebook.com... I believe I'm the only Calvin Chuang from Avondale College on there.

Money, and a free trip to Bangladesh
Why do you feel a festival like SONscreen is important to have?
SONscreen is a bridge from Adventist films to the real world. It is creating a community that all have something in common besides making great films.
What new project are your working on and how can people reach you or see more of your work?
Currently I am working on a half hour program for Maranatha Volunteers International.

satellite receivers, systems design and installation, and be familiar with web streaming and
other digital technologies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: basic FCP editing, Apple system administration to include FCP 5 edit station (Power Mac G5s and PowerBook G4), video and still photography operation and setup, ...and must be able to train others and install new equipment and system/software upgrades, etc.
